Now seventeen, Wren is dealing with her disease relatively well: the rashes only appear a few times a year, and the joint pain and fatigue are manageable. Wren’s parents, always a bit on the over-protective side, have cracked down even further in the last year, closely monitoring Wren’s social life (or lack thereof) and always warning her to stay out of the sun. While Wren is academically quite smart and could probably get into whatever college she wanted to, she has opted instead to continue her fast food job fulltime after she graduates and live at home. Wren hasn’t even begun to admit to herself that she’s frustrated with her life and incredibly lonely; like a good little Pisces, she is willing to sacrifice her own happiness and fulfillment for her parents’. Since the storm on 04/17/08, she is beginning to remember some of Remus' life. She frequently has nightmares involving wolves. Admitted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry only because then-Headmaster Albus Dumbledore thought even a werewolf ought to get an education, Remus hid his “hairy little problem” from his friends James Potter, Sirius Black, and Peter Pettigrew until they managed to figure it out for themselves and decided to become Animagi to keep Remus company during his transformations. Then this guy named Voldemort came into power, James and his wife were murdered, Sirius was sent to prison, Peter was presumed dead, and, twelve years later, Remus came back to Hogwarts to teach James’ kid Harry a thing or two about Defense Against the Dark Arts. When Voldemort rose again, Remus joined the Order of the Phoenix and died extremely anticlimactically while fighting some of Voldemort’s followers in the final battle.
